5 Things to Keep in Mind After a Fender-Bender

Nobody ever wants or expects them, but car accidents happen every day.  If you suddenly find yourself involved in a fender-bender, the stress of the situation can jumble your thoughts, making you more likely to forget some important steps.  Here are a few things to keep in mind right after a car accident.
-Make sure everyone is okay before you exchange contact and insurance information with the other motorist involved.

-Report the incident to your insurance company, even if you are at fault.

-Take pictures.  Not only will this proof help when sorting things out with an insurance company, but it could serve as useful if there happens to be a dispute about the situation.  Taking notes is a good idea, too.

-Be careful who you talk to.  If you are contacted by the other motorist’s insurance company, it is best to direct them to your insurance company instead of speaking for yourself.  Sensitive situations like car accidents are best left to professionals!

-If there is a dispute with your insurance company, get an attorney.

2014 BUICK LACROSSE INTRODUCES NEW LOOK WITH ENHANCED TECHNOLOGY AND SAFETY

Buick’s new 2014 LaCrosse represents an evolution of the landmark luxury sedan that established the brand’s modern sedan lineup with design leadership and technological innovation.

The full-size LaCrosse offers new interior and exterior design cues, advanced safety technologies and enhanced in-vehicle connectivity. New front and rear styling, featuring available signature wing-shape LED daytime running lamps and LED wraparound taillamps, complements its sculpted exterior design. The interior is more contemporary, with new seats, enhanced materials, redesigned central instrument panel and console – and an all-new, available Ultra Luxury Interior Package. The cabin also incorporates Buick’s next-generation IntelliLink infotainment system, with intuitive controls and natural voice recognition.

New radar- and camera-based safety features help surround the new LaCrosse with protection. They include Lane Change Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Automatic Collision Preparation. GM’s patented Safety Alert Seat works with many of these features, providing seat vibration pulses indicating the direction of a potential crash threat.

Full Speed Adaptive Cruise Control is also offered. It senses traffic in front of the LaCrosse to adjust vehicle speed, including bringing the vehicle to a complete stop and accelerating again.
“We evolved the interior and exterior design, increased luxury amenities and materials, and enhanced the safety and personal technologies to give customers more reasons than ever to rediscover Buick,” said Tony DiSalle, U.S. vice president of Buick Marketing.

Globally, LaCrosse sales have exceeded 500,000 since its 2009 introduction and U.S. sales topped 57,000 in 2012, making it more popular than many other full-size luxury sedans, including Lexus ES, Acura TL and Lincoln MKZ.

7 Common Reasons for an Oil Change!

Listed are seven reasons to get an oil change regularly!

1. Longevity - If you want to make sure your vehicle lasts for the long-run, an oil change is something you want to get done regularly!

2. Sludge - Your car parts can be ruined due to dirty cogs and then the engine can build up acidity which can cause further damage.

3. Stress - If you are going up steep terrain or going on a long trip your engine needs as much possible power as you can get.

4. Change - Get your oil changed about every 3,000 miles, especially in a moderate or dusty climate.

5. Driving habits - If you are an aggressive driver, typically you should look to change your oil more often because of driving style. If you are in traffic often, check your oil level.

6. Add more - While driving you constantly burn oil, so make sure that you change it out because sludge and other debris can cause expensive damages.

7. Friction - Oil reduces friction, so if you hear your engine making noises when you start your vehicle, it is typically due to dirty or low oil in the tank.
